Tips

  • Exposure

    Tips on sunlight exposure
Full Shade - Usually an area under a closed tree canopy.
Partial Shade - May be an area under a tree that stands alone, or under a few trees, which gets no more than a few hours of dappled sun during the course of the day.
Partial Sun - Usually refers to an area that gets 3-5 hours of sun.
Full Sun - Six or more hours every day

  • Basket Care

Hanging baskets, in particular, Wave Petunia baskets support a large plant from a relatively small root mass. They are highly dependant on regular watering/feeding and require a commitment of care or they will show their displeasure in short order on hot, dry days! On sunny days, twice a day watering of 1-2 qts with plant food are prefered. (a little less on cloudy days). Watch the overall plant habit, as it will start to droop as it gets thirsty. Another good indicator is to lift the basket. As the plant dries, it will be considerabley lighter. A little practice and attention will reward you with a spectacular display of color.
